Hello April!
The latest:
Well… didn’t March just completely fly by? It sure did for me. Whatever time I wasn’t spending at gigs or on streams (and in preparation for all of those), I was deep in administrative hell. But that’s just part of the job! Despite my productivity and output not going exactly according to plan so far for this year, I’m actually in good spirits and feeling very optimistic about the future. I’ve been doing a lot of work on myself and feel like I’m seeing some big improvements in my physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Which is really great news considering my mental health history. ❤️
March Recap:
Penned a new moorhaunter song: Somethin’ Else (including a prompt submitted by Keyholder Michael B).
Performed the new MH song live for the first time (as well as a couple “rare” thematically-related-MH-tunes I dug out of the archive) for the folks kind enough to attend the live Vault event for March on 3/19. I played live 14 total times!
We celebrated SIX amazing years of live-streaming in a huge hoop-dee-doo broadcast on March 29th. We laughed, we cried, we played, I gave out prizes and announced some brand-new, SUPER limited edition Holly Frost merch. If you missed it, the replay is available to watch on Facebook and YouTube. It was magic.

Crooner Coffee Hour continues in its normal time slot (Friday mornings 11am ET), and our monthly Vault Livestream Event will take place on April 16th. (These are happening as scheduled on THIRD Tuesdays of each month, just FYI.) The link is available at the Events tab.
I do happen to have another public IRL Austin, TX event on the books for this month: what is sure to be a darling and cozy festival that is initiating an annual installation this year: Women of Note, on Saturday 4/13. I’ll be performing alongside several other women-identified local acts and it is sure to be a swell time. If you’re local to Austin, I hope you’ll swing by and enjoy what is sure to be a lovely listening-room style event (taking place in a beautiful backyard under the trees ☺️)
Disney-song broadcasts and moorhaunter broadcasts continue their pause. One Big Dark Room livestreams are also still on hiatus.
Practically all my leftover discretionary work time in April will be dedicated to producing items and fulfilling prizes from the CCH Anniversary Event. I’ve decided I’d like to try to livestream during some of this process, so I’ve scheduled some “Make With Me!” streams where I’ll be broadcasting the making and fulfillment of these packages on Twitch over the coming weeks. They’ll mostly be on Thursdays (including today) except for 4/18 (already had a gig scheduled for that day), so I’ll be doing “that week’s” stream the following Tuesday, 4/23. I’ll be live from my admin studio/packing table on those days for a couple hours each… since I’ll be streaming from my phone these won’t be as polished as the normal music streams, but if you’d like to come by and hang out I’ll be around!
Of course, the best way to know what’s happening with live broadcasts is to opt-in to notifications in our Discord Server.
Long range plans and general update:
So! As previously mentioned, this year hasn’t quite gone according to plan, though I’ve been busy trying to keep all the plates spinning.
I’ve resigned a little bit to the idea that maybe this year will be a “quieter” one of PRODUCING and creating, so that next year I’ll have a backlog of things I can release and promote frequently while (hopefully) managing to keep up some production/creation (though probably even more slowly) while doing that releasing.
For now, I’ll probably be sending you rough mixes when I get to the rough mix stage of any tracks, just so you can actually see that there is, in fact, progress being made. Of course, the monthly original new songs will continue to take priority, and will at least continue to be delivered until I can manage to add more monthly deliverables back onto my plate.
My innermost and most ambitious goal is to work on creating things for next year while getting ahead of stuff I know is coming later this year (7songs7days, Halloween, the holidays, Black Friday, etc), not to mention just getting the stuff I’ve already been working on ready for release when the next Q1 drops, if not sooner. I really want to experience life as someone who is ahead of things rather than always feeling behind.
I am really excited for what the future holds and do have big plans. I can’t wait ‘til we can get back to a faster pace of putting things out, but I’ve got to make the darned things first. Apparently I can’t do ALL the things all at the same time ☹️ who knew? 😜 So I’ll have to be patient. Thank you for being patient with me and for your support in keeping things running while I “stock up.”
I also managed to get the LoveLetterMusic store slightly more stocked, with at least one item from each of the other projects currently available. If you’d like a limited edition CD, vinyl, or other item, now would be a great time to put in any orders since I’ll be doing a lot of production and fulfillment over the next few weeks!
If you attended the CCH 6BD Party and are expecting some physical mail from me, I sent out estimated ship dates to everyone a couple days ago via email. ❤️
